UFC has removed Machida from Saturday's match after the Brazilian admitted to using a banned substance during an out-of-competition sample collection last week, the organisation announced.

"The UFC organisation was made aware today by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency [USADA], the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, that Lyoto Machida declared the usage of a banned substance during an out-of-competition sample collection last week," a statement read.

Machida, who was scheduled to fight Henderson on Saturday, said he was unaware the substance was banned in and out of competition.

UFC says Henderson will be re-booked for a new bout in the near future.
