Minister of Tourism visits Ga traditional area ahead of 2015 Homofest

Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, has paid a courtesy call to the Chiefs of Ga Traditional Council as part of preparation towards the 2015 Homofest.

Homofest was launched last year to create aware among the indigenous Ghanaian and also promote the consumption of local foods, artefacts, dance and music.

The delegation which was led by Mrs Ofosu-Adjare and accompanied by the Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr Isaac Djangmah Vanderpuye, and the Deputy Minister of Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs, Mr Effah Baafi, was to formally inform the council of this year’s event and solicit their input and support.

Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare expressed gratitude to the chiefs for their support during the maiden edition of the Homofest.

Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III, Vice Chairman of the Ga Traditional Council and La Mantse, who received the delegation called on the Ministry to save the Dodowa forest,  a tourist attraction site in the region.
