Boxer given heroic welcome in Philippines

Manny Pacquiao was given a heroic welcome as he arrived his home country for the first time since the May 2 fight with Floyd Mayweather.

The 36-year-old injured shoulder was heavily strapped in a sling after undergoing surgery last week.

The Filipino was  welcomed by his wife Jinkee and youngest son Israel at the airport, and also met with press and fans after landing back in the capital city, Manila.

Pacquiao was lifted in an open tour bus from the airport to his home waving to cheering fans.
