Marisa Tomei joins star-studded cast of Empire for new season

If you think cast for screen hit series, Empire, is star-studded enough, you thought wrong.

Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei is the latest star to grab a part in Empire, playing a billionairess who ploughs her money into the Lyons' family business.

Other guests stars confirmed for season two include Chris Rock, Jennifer Hudson and Gladys Knight.

The first season of the show, which centres on a family's hip hop entertainment business has been a huge success for Fox, with ratings rising from 9.9 million for episode one to 17.6 million for the finale.
