Vinales was one of several riders to come off at the notorious turn 11, known as the 'Waterfall' corner, at Sachsenring but the Suzuki rider picked himself up to clock the fastest lap of the day.

The Spaniard slid off the track at the fast right hand corner, but went back out to post three fastest laps - the best of which being one minute and 22.161 seconds - to end the day on a high note.
