Kwadwo Asamoah who was expected to return to Avram Grant’s team sustained an injury in Juventus away league victory against Palermo over the weekend and will be on the sidelines for the next one and a half months, after undergoing a  successful surgery.

Maxwell Konadu has indicated that Kwadwo Asamoah is crucial to the campaign of the Black Stars, so it is worrying to see him suffer another injury.

"Kwadwo is one of the important players we have. Off late he has been sustaining injuries that are not good for us. We all know how important he is to us," Konadu told TV3.

Ghana will face Uganda next month in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
