The Australian Rugby Union (ARU) on Tuesday confirmed McCalman sustained a fractured right scapular after coming off the bench in last week's 23-7 second-Test loss to England in Melbourne.

McCalman will sit out the Saturday's clash in Sydney, with the 28-year-old replaced by Leroy Houston as Michael Cheika's side seek to avoid a series whitewash against England.

However, McCalman will be available for Australia's Rugby Championship campaign in late August.
