After needing overtime to beat the U.S. Virgin Islands on Monday, defending champions Mexico responded with a resounding 32-point victory in Panama City.

Adrian Zamora was the top scorer for the Mexicans with 11 points, while Jorge Gutierrez was also in good form, contributing nine points, five rebounds and three assists.

Puerto Rico responded from their loss to Panama, defeating Nicaragua 98-57 in a dominating display, helped by Ramon Clemente's 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Yordanis Jaca's double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds helped Cuba to an 88-66 win over Antigua and Barbuda - who have now lost all three of their opening games.

Meanwhile, the Dominican Republic kept up their 100 per cent record with an 87-80 win over the Bahamas.
