Milos Raonic makes BNP Paribas Open final

Milos Raonic continued his brilliant season by defeating David Goffin in three sets to set up a BNP Paribas Open final against either Novak Djokovic or Rafael Nadal.

Raonic is playing his first tournament since reaching the final four of the Australian Open due to a leg injury, but the Canadian has been in supreme form at Indian Wells and headed into Saturday's semi-final having not dropped a set.

The 12th seed may have seen that record ended by Goffin, but it will do little to sour a 6-3 3-6 6-3 victory that saw him book a third Masters 1000 final.

Goffin was unable to deal with Raonic's precision serving in the first set, the Canadian firing down six aces and earning plenty of cheap points.

The second proved a more back-and-forth affair with Goffin making the crucial break in game eight before seeing out the job on his own serve on his third break point when Raonic netted with a forehand.

But the momentum swung back in Raonic's favour early in the decider as he quickly raced into a 3-0 lead, an advantage that Goffin was unable to recover from.

Raonic now goes in search of a second ATP title of the season, but must overcome either world number one Djokovic - the defending champion - or Nadal to do so.
