A fire outbreak at <strong>Old Fadama</strong> popularly known as <strong>Sodom</strong> and <strong>Gomorrah</strong> has stalled an ongoing demolition exercise being carried out by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).

The fire, which spread quickly through the debris of last Saturday’s demolition exercise caused the city authorities to withdraw four excavators which were being used for the exercise.

The AMA and the 48 regiment from the Ghana Armed Forces Tuesday went to the site to collect the debris from last Saturday’s demolition exercise to make way for the dredging of the Korle Lagoon and Odaw River.
