Morgan Parra revealed that he was still troubled by an ankle injury on his return to action for Clermont Auvergne on Saturday.

The scrum-half made his comeback in the Top 14 win over Oyonnax and will be hoping to prove his fitness ahead of France's Six Nations trip to Scotland a week on Sunday.

But the 27-year-old playmaker gave an honest assessment of his performance at the weekend and said he was still hindered by the injury which forced him to pull out of Les Bleus' Six Nations squad.

"It was like any comeback game, there were some good things and some less good things," he said.

"I had some trouble with the pace of the game, and with my ankle as well."

Third-placed Clermont travel to Grenoble on Friday and Parra has stressed the importance of building on back-to-back wins.

He added: "It's good to get a few victories. We'd had a tough time after the loss to Montpellier [on January 30]. Now we have a big away game against Grenoble. After their result against Stade Francais [a 33-18 victory] we know what to expect.

"Our game is starting to come together but we need to back it up. We know where we're going but there are good things, very good things, and some bad things. What's important is the spirit that we kept throughout the game."
