'House of Cards' actor joins 'Gotham' as 'Freeze'

The Rise of the Villains of FOX's 'Gotham,' has cast Nathan Darrow as Victor Fries (Mr Freeze).

According to TVLine, the actor, who is popular for his role as Frank Underwood's bodyguard in 'House of Cards', Meechum, will have a recurring role as the alter ego of the iconic Batman villain.

'Gotham' stars as Detective James Gordon, as Harvey Bullock, as Detective Nathaniel Barnes, as Alfred, as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, as Barbara Kean, as Bruce Wayne, as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, as Theo Galavan, as Tabitha Galavan, as Lucius Fox, as Harvey Dent, as Captain Sarah Essen.

Gotham' returned for its second season on September 21.
