We will not micro-manage Korle Bu - Health Ministry
The Ministry of Health has said it will not interfere in activities of the Korle Bu Teaching hospital. Minister of Health, Alex Segbefia made this known after a tour of the hospital following the closure of the three surgical clinics at the hospital. Meanwhile the CEO of the hospital, Dr. Gilbert Buckle revealed during the tour that the facility will be reopened in March.
ECOWAS tariffs: Finance Ministry to review CET in 5 years time
The Head of Tax Policy Unit at the Finance Ministry, Anthony Dzadzra, has said Ghana will adjust the ECOWAS Common External Tariff (CET) within the next five years following complains by the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) and the Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana.
Sim box fraud: Special operation retrieves 8,854 SIM cards
A joint special operation by the Visa and Documentation Fraud Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police and Subah Infosolution Limited last Friday led to the retrieval of 8,854 SIM cards in a container shop near Gbawe in the Greater Accra region. The SIM cards included used 4,998 MTN, 1,694 Airtel, 88 Glo and 48 Tigo cards. Cards which had not been used included 234 MTN, 1,290 Airtel, 200 Glo and 46 Tigo cards.
Atsu sustains another injury at Malaga
Ghana international Christian Atsu has sustained another injury after his debut game in the Spanish La Liga on Friday.The Ghanaian scored the second of three goals for Malaga but was substituted after the first 45 minutes of the game. Malaga have confirmed the Chelsea player on loan at the club has suffered a muscle injury in his right leg and missed training on Monday.
