Cocoa Processing Company shuts down two factories
The Cocoa Processing Company (CPC) Limited has shut down two of its processing factories because of operational challenges. Management of the company has therefore asked its staff to stay home from January 25, 2016 until further notice.
Simpson Kent agrees to be extradited to UK for trial
British murder suspect, Arthur Simpson Kent has submitted himself voluntarily to be sent to the United Kingdom for trial. He stated in open court Tuesday that he wanted the extradition process to be halted in Ghana so he could go and face charges in the UK. Simpson Kent was arrested early on this month at his hideout at Busua in the Western region.
ECG ordered to correct metering and billing errors
The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) says it has issued an order to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), to correct the metering and billing anomalies resulting from implementation of the 2015 Major Tariff Increase. A statement from the PURC also reiterated that the percentage increase across board for all categories of electricity consumers as announced by the Commission is 59.2 per cent.
Ghanaian player completes Chelsea loan transfer to Malaga
Ghanaian player Christian Atsu has completed a loan transfer move from English Premier League club Chelsea to Spanish La Liga side Malaga. Atsu spent last season on loan at Everton and joined Premier League new boys AFC Bournemouth for the first half of the season
