GES orders Mfantsipim headmaster to step aside for charging illegal fees

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has ordered the Headmaster of Mfantsipim Senior High School in the Central region, Mr John Kwamina Ankomah Simpson to step aside for charging illegal fees. A letter signed by authorities of the GES, stated that, "As a result of the collection of illegal fees from students of Mfantsipim School, you are directed to immediately step aside from responsibilities as the Headmaster of the school, pending further investigations into the illegal collection.”

Koala robbery; three suspects remanded

An Accra Circuit court has remanded the three accomplices arrested in connection with a robbery which left a worker of Koala Shopping mall injured.The three including a worker at Koala have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime. According to the prosecutor in the case, the three men and the robbers met a day before the robbery at Koala where they hatched the plan and went ahead to execute it. The men who carried out the act are still receiving treatment after they were hit by a brave taxi driver.

The brave taxi driver has received a brand new Chevrolet Optra (Sedan) Saloon car from the Koala Supermarket. This is in fulfillment of the company's promise to reward the driver for his bravery after he rammed his taxi into two suspected armed robbers on a motorbike leading to their arrest.

Baba Rahman admits to frustrating time on Chelsea bench

Ghanaian defender Abdul Baba Rahman is not enjoying his time on the bench with Premier League side Chelsea and has admitted to the frustration in an interview with German tabloid Bild. The 21-year-old was a regular for German Bundesliga side Augsburg before joining the Premier League Champions last summer.
