Hannah Tetteh is ignorant - Mustapha Hamid

Islamic scholar, Mustapha Hamid has argued that Foreign Affairs Minister, Hanna Tetteh is ignorant about radical Islam ideologies following her decision to house two ex-Guantanamo detainees in the country. He warned that Ghana could be a target of attack from Jihadists if the country refused to return the two ex-detainees. The two ex-detainees, Mahmud Umar Muhammad Bin Atef and Khalid Muhammad Salih Al-Dhuby, arrived in Ghana on Thursday January 7, 2016 for a two-year stay.

Nurses picket at Flagstaff House

Some unemployed graduate nurses have been arrested by the police for picketing close to the Flagstaff House. The nurses, numbering 15, were arrested on Monday, January 11, 2016, after they refused to heed to police calls to evacuate from the venue of protest.

Mile 7 filing station rebuilt months after June 3 flood disaster

Barely seven months after the demolition of a filling station at Mile Seven, a suburb of Accra in the Ga West municipality,  contractors are busy rebuilding the filing station. This fuel station became the talk of the nation five days after the deadly disaster over 150 people who lost their lives when a Goil fuel station exploded right at the centre of Kwame Nkrumah Circle. Residents were happy with the actions of the assembly, but the station is being re-constructed.
