Samsung Electronics has announced that the decision to abandon production of its infamous Galaxy Note 7 would cost the company about 3 billion dollars.
This, in addition to an estimated 2 billion dollars going into recalls, brings to total 5.2 billion dollars for the entire plan to discontinue production and sales.
The phones were recalled but the replacements soon faced similar problems leading the South Korean company to permanently shelf the phone.
