Farah was dropped for Sunday's clash against the St George Illawarra Dragons, with Taylor citing a lack of cohesion in attack.

The 32-year-old, a New South Wales Origin player, slammed the coach after starring in reserve grade.

Johns, a Newcastle Knights, Blues and Australia great, said Farah – who is contracted for next year – had to leave the Tigers.

"For me, he can't be at the Wests Tigers," he told Channel Nine.

"I couldn't imagine how toxic it would be going to training. I couldn't imagine being in that position.

"It would be awful."

Farah slammed Taylor on Saturday and said being blamed for the Tigers' performances was "unfair".

Another NRL great, Brad Fittler, urged the Tigers veteran to stay focused on his game.

"Robbie just has to play footy, keep his head down," he said.

"I noticed he came out after the game and made some comments and actually went even a bit too far there.

"At the moment, Jason is saying how he wants the club to look and the cohesion and all that, I don't know if Jason really had to explain himself.

"I thought in whole the Tigers should close their mouths and get on with it."
