Richardson: No peace for bowlers
Kane Richardson is not worried by the conditions and batsmen that will welcome him and Australia in New Zealand.
Australia's recent ODI series against India, which the former won 4-1, proved a high-scoring affair and Richardson does not expect life to get any easier for the bowlers.
Speaking to reporters upon the team's arrival in New Zealand, the seamer said: "I think every bowling attack in the world is under pressure because batting is good now in one-day cricket.
"Every team has sorted that out and they know their game well.
"This series is no different in terms of the batting being high-quality, the batting groups are full of confidence, so as a bowler you have to find a way to stop them.
"The last series we played here was tough on the bowlers and that's worldwide, one-day cricket is high scoring and that's the way it is."
Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson and retiring captain Brendon McCullum shape as the main batting threats for New Zealand.
"Their top order is quality. All those players make runs," Richardson said.
"They're dangerous, all of their top six or top seven.
"I'm expecting [McCullum] to come hard against us because he seems to enjoy it against us."
The ODI series kicks off on Wednesday in Auckland.
