Australian Open: Men's singles fact pack
- In claiming his fifth men's singles crown at Melbourne Park in 2015, following previous wins in 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013, Djokovic set a new record in the Open Era. He will now aim to equal the six wins achieved by Roy Emerson as an amateur.
- Djokovic participated in the longest grand slam final in 2012 when he beat Rafael Nadal in a match lasting five hours and 53 minutes to secure a third Australian Open.
- Last year's Australian Open was the first since 2003 in which neither Roger Federer nor Nadal managed to reach the semi-finals.
