Panic in Katsina as woman's corpse is discovered

The mutilated body of an unidentified woman was found at the Turare area of Funtua town,  Katsina State, sending residents into panic and what appears to be the markings of ritual killing.

According to reports, the body of the woman was found under a tree in the early hours of yesterday with vital parts of the body like breasts, eyes, tongue and the private parts missing, lending credence to the belief that she must have been killed by ritualists.

The residents have thereby become very apprehensive, praying it was not another resumption of the dreaded ritual killings that has been dogging some parts of the country especially during election periods and they are tasking the police to intensify efforts to track down the perpetrators of the crime.
