Chelsea close in on Baba Rahman as Luis’ replacement

English Premier League champions Chelseaare set to replace full-back Filipe Luis with Ghanaian player Abdul Baba Rahman.

The Chelsea player is closing in on a return to Atletico Madrid within days after just a year with the London club.

Luis who signed a three-year contract with Jose Mourinho’s side for a £15.8 million transfer fee made 15 appearances.

Chelsea have ignited their interest in Black Star Abdul Baba Rahman as they seek to make him their left-back at Stamford Bridge.

Rahman impressed at German club Augsburg last season and has had interest from a host of clubs.

A deal with Italian side Roma was reported to be almost done but the Premier League champions are confident of beating the Italian side for Rahman’s signature.
