Pink October: DCL champions early breast cancer detection in Ghana

Every October, the world turns pink in solidarity against breast cancer. But for Diagnostic Centre Ltd. (DCL), Pink October is more than a campaign, it is a mission to save lives through awareness and early detection.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Ghanaian women, accounting for thousands of new cases each year. Sadly, many women are diagnosed at advanced stages, when treatment is less effective and survival rates drop significantly.

Dr. Byrite Asamoah, Medical Director at DCL, explained: “We see too many women coming to us only after symptoms have advanced. Our message this Pink October is simple: don’t wait. Early detection is the difference between life and loss.”
