A former Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga Constituency David Apasara said Bernard Mornah should be blamed because he was sleeping in his office at the time the form was being filled.

A former Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga Constituency David Apasara has said that the National Chairman of the People’s National Convention must be blamed for the party’s disqualification in the 2016 presidential race.

Speaking to Accra-based Citi News Apasara who is a member of the PNC revealed that the party Chairman Bernard Mornah was sleeping when the form was being filled.

He accused the leadership of the party of dereliction of duty so as to avoid an embarrassment of this nature.

Meanwhile, the Director of Communication of the PNC Emmanuel Wilson earlier blamed the General Secretary of the party for the same incident. He said Atik Mohammed did not attach any seriousness to the filling of the forms.

Edward Mahama and 12 others  including the PPP's Dr Kwasi Ndoum and former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings  were disqualified by the EC from contesting in the December 7 over some anomalies on their nomination forms.

The EC is expected to return their filing fees to them and the police will also withdraw the security personnel given them.
