The upcoming remake is a contemporary version of the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces.

Written by David Lindsay-Abaire, 'Poltergeist' stars Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jared Harris, Saxon Sharbino, and Jane Adams.
The original Poltergeistwas produced by Steven Spielberg in 1982, was followed by Poltergeist II: The Other Side in 1986 and Poltergeist III in 1988.
'Poltergeist'is set to hit theaters on May 22, 2015.
