About PulseCares
PulseCares is a Pulse initiative that is targeted at leveraging our active, engaged online communities and our relationships with corporate partners to support charities, NGOs, foundations or causes that are important to our audience.
Our Current Campaign: #SkilledYouthByPulse
Technical colleges / Vocational Skill centers and accredited universities offer two different styles of educational experiences, geared towards different needs but more often than not, technical education/manual skills are being undermined which in the end increases the rate of unemployment.
There has also been a devaluing of vocational skills such as cooking, sewing, woodcarving, soap carving etc which are not part of the educational curriculum. This could be in a bid to either prevent gender stereotyping or to get people to focus on learning competitive cutting-edge skills such as coding or data analysis.
The campaign will create awareness on Technical Education/Vocational Skills and why they should not be left out of the employment chart. Skills range from tailoring, sculpting etc.
