Pakistan are almost certain to become the top-ranked Test team in the world after rain again prevented any play in the final Test between West Indies and India.

A wet outfield delayed the start of play and then rain fell in Port of Spain to ensure there was no cricket possible on day four, with West Indies stuck on 62-2 as Kraigg Brathwaite (32) and Marlon Samuels (4) remain unbeaten.

India, who were promoted to number one in the rankings on Wednesday thanks to Australia suffering a series whitewash in Sri Lanka, have to beat West Indies in this match to hold on to top spot even though they already have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the four-match series.
