The 22-year-old was set for a massive transfer to the Premier League club, but had the move cancelled after he was found to have had a heart condition.

His club, FC Zurich, backed him in the face of the failed move and accepted him back onto their fold in order to have him go through further tests.

Dwamena has subsequently not played for the past three weeks, with the striker made go undergo several medical checkups to ascertain the true nature of his reported heart problem.

The former Austria Lustenau striker has now revealed that he has been declared medically fit by doctors of Zurich.

He has been cleared to return to the football pitch, albeit seeing a Heart Reading Chip implanted in his heart to help doctors better examine his situation in the coming weeks.

Speaking in an interview with Ultimate FM, Dwamena expressed delight with the news, while also thanking his fans for their support.

“God is good and he holds our future, he knows why he closed this transfer to Brighton. He is not done with me yet in Switzerland. Thank you for the prayers and love, can’t wait to get on the field again to represent him,” he said.

The striker was Ghana’s highest goal scorer in 2016 and he looks very much primed to repeat his heroics, having already netted 14 goals so far this year.
