The quintet of Hoskins, Ashlee Ankudinoff, Georgia Baker, Amy Cure and Annette Edmondson were preparing for their event, which gets under way on Thursday, when four of the riders came off at race speed.

Hoskins was shown returning to the track on Wednesday, using a crutch to help her walk, but it appears pedalling is less of an issue.

Edmondson tweeted in the aftermath of the crash to claim the riders were "bruised, battered but OK".

Hoskins and Edmondson missed out on bronze at London 2012, losing out to Canada.
