Brazil forward Robinho has joined Chinese champions Guangzhou Evergrande on a six-month deal.

The former Real Madrid stars reunites with former Brazilian national team coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.

The 31-year-old recently ended his third spell with Santos and was heavily linked with a move to Abu Dhabi club Al Jazira.

He however chose to join Guangzhou Evergrande who have also signed another Brazilian, Paulinho from Tottenham.

Robinho was part of the Brazil side that exited the recent Copa America tournament following a quarter-final penalty shootout defeat by Paraguay.

A slew of big name footballers have also joined the Chinese Super League.

Shanghai Shenhua paid 14.5 million to Turkish side Besiktas for Senegal international Demba Ba, while big spenders Shanghai SIPG signed  Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan.
