Southampton coach Ronald Koeman has reacted to the latest reports linking his forward Sadio Mane with a January move to Manchester United.
United are reportedly interested in signing the 23-year-old Senegal international but Koeman has continued to insist Southampton will not sell.
“Rumours aren't important: we will sell nobody,” Koeman is quoted o say by Daily Mail.
“You can ask again about Sadio, Man United, Chelsea, but we will sell nobody in January.”
Koeman is looking to keep his stars as he hopes to continue to build a side that is capable of a top four finish and a title challenge.
The 52-year-old coach has however admitted that the lure of Champions League football might be too big for his players to ignore.
“Of course we don't play in the Champions League and we don't fight for the title, and that's a normal ambition for players to reach the highest level possible,” Koeman said.
