A statement from the FIS confirmed Saturday's event in Switzerland would not go ahead until the following day.
Consequently, the alpine combined race that was due to take place on Sunday has been cancelled and will not be replaced this season.
American Lindsey Vonn is top of the standings in the women's downhill with 500 points, 172 clear of nearest rival Larisa Yurkiw.
Vonn, who also leads the overall standings, posted on Twitter: "Too much snow, race cancelled/postponed until [Sunday]. Going to go POWDER skiing!! Will try to control myself and not take too many runs."
