Outspoken Ghanaian pastor, Reverend Owusu-Bempah has denied rumors that he belongs to an occultic group because he wears a special ring.
The founder of theGlorious Word Power Ministry revealed: “I usually find it funny when people say me, Owusu Bempah, has joined an occult group; because God has empowered me more than the occultic spirits themselves.”.
Speaking to broadcast journalist Kofi Adoma Wawani on March 12, he claimed that the said ring has no influence on his ministry.
“The truth is my senior pastor wears a ring. When I knew him in Santasi (a suburb in Kumasi) he wasn’t wearing that ring but was preaching powerfully and performing miracles like healing of the blind and healing the sick. When he travelled outside the country and returned I saw this ring on his finger and honestly, the wonders I saw him perform are the same he performed when he returned from abroad.”
He added: “I would have been surprised if he came back and couldn’t perform any miracles. Then I would say there are special wonders in that ring. He could raise the dead and even more during his conventions before he decided to wear that ring.
“So I want to ask, what power was he using to perform the miracles when he wasn’t wearing the ring?”
Reverend Owusu-Bempah cited more cases to support his argument.
“I know Archbishop Duncan Williams very well. When I was in Kumasi, he had started preaching and I would always listen to him because they were powerful. Back then, he had just returned from Benson Idahosa and honestly he wasn’t wearing a ring. Comparing now and then I don’t see any difference with his preaching or healing, and don’t see any level the ring has lifted Duncan Williams to.”
He went on: “I know (Prophet) Salifu Amoako very well from Kumasi. We were one of the few people to start prophetic work in Accra together with Bishop Kwame Poku and there was no ring on either of our fingers.”

According to him, he does not understand how he anyone would insinuate that he was limiting God’s power to a ring.
“At a point, people were even speculating that the handkerchiefs some pastors were using have spiritual powers, An example is Eastwood Anaba, myself, Salifu Amoako etc. Excuse me, are people saying we shouldn’t clean our face when we are sweating?
“If indeed there is some power in rings, people could even put it in their wedding rings, they don’t need to get any extraordinary rings. It is absolutely nonsense what people are saying, trying to limit God’s power to a ring.”
