Keta Senior High beat the 4 time winners Mfantsipim by 16-13 in the final group game and the latter also filed in a protest.

These two cases were then forwarded to the Ghana Education Service (GES) and both cases went in favor of the schools that protested.

In the wake of this was when Mawuli School’s disqualification was announced by a representative from the GES that they had also been disqualified.

Mawuli were playing their final group game against Champions Opoku Ware when that announcement was made.
