Sequel for upcoming sequel confirmed

Director Justin Lin (Fast & Furious), who will be taking over the Trek franchise, has confirmed the official title for the upcoming 'Star Trek 3'.

Lin confirmed the title as 'Star Trek Beyond,' via a Tweet with the  hashtag—#StarTrekBeyond.

This comes after Simon Pegg, who is co-writing and starring as Scotty in the movie, referred to the movie by the 'Beyond'  title in a blog.

Star Trek Beyond' is set for a July 8, 2016 release.
