Stuart Broad rips out South Africa top order

Stuart Broad proved to be England's hero with the ball once again, claiming South Africa's first five wickets as the tourists closed in on a series-clinching victory in the third Test at the Wanderers.

After England earned a slender first-innings lead of 10, the game was firmly in the balance until Broad imposed himself upon proceedings.

In a devastating spell after lunch, the fast bowler removed Dean Elgar, Stiaan van Zyl, AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla and Temba Bavuma to reduce the Proteas to 35-5.

Here we look at how Broad's 5-14 from 10 overs - which included a spell of 5-1 from 31 deliveries - moved England into a commanding position.

South Africa's dangerman gets an inside edge on a jaffa from Broad and Bairstow completes a regulation take.

1.55pm Amla ct Taylor b Broad 5. South Africa 31-4

The former Proteas captain middles a glance off his legs, only for the short-leg fieldsman to claim a superb chance just above the ground.

Bavuma, a centurion in the previous Test, attempts to sway out of the way of a short delivery, but only succeeds in deflecting onto his stumps via his glove.
