Eric Opoku wins Premier League Player of the Year

Opoku beat off competition from Liberty Professionals midfield dynamo, Kennedy Ashia and Wa All Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori to win the award.

Eric Opoku was very instrumental in Ashanti Gold’s successful campaign last season, when they managed to break 19 years’ jinx of missing out on the Ghana Premier League.

Late last year, he was adjudged the GFA/PLB Premier league Player of the season in an awards gala at the La Palm Beach Resort.
