Tony Stewart to begin rehab rehabilitation regimen

After a series of X-rays on Wednesday, doctors for??Stewart are satisfied with the amount of healing that has taken place in the NASCAR driver's back and have??implemented a rehabilitation regimen that will hasten his recovery, the Stewart-Haas Racing racing team announced.

Doctors checked on the injury Stewart??sustained an all-terrain??vehicle accident on January 31, where he suffered a burst fracture of the L1 vertebra.

Future re-evaluations will be necessary before a timetable??is known for??Stewart's return to racing, but a??full recovery is expected for the three-time Sprint Cup champion, as is a return to the stock car for his final NASCAR season.????

Plans for??an interim driver have not been finalized but??Ty Dillon will pilot the number 14 car this weekend at Phoenix and in all??races the team??receives sponsorship from Bass Pro Shops.
