Toulon owner on Stuart Lancaster, Diego Dominguez talk

Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal denied Diego Dominguez has been sacked on Tuesday, but gave a strong hint the coach could depart amid reports Stuart Lancaster is set to hold talks with the Top 14 giants.

Boudjellal announced in 2014 that former Italy and Argentina fly-half Dominguez will replace Bernard Laporte as head coach ahead of the 2016/17 season.

Speculation over Dominguez's future mounted last weekend and former England head coach Lancaster is said to be heading for discussions with the three-time European champions.

Boudjellal, while hinting changes are afoot, claimed no decision has been made on the future of Dominguez and forwards coach Jacques Delmas.

"I deny all the reports in the press from over the last few days," Boudjellal stated at a media conference to unveil new signing Vincent Clerc.

"There are assumptions which have become assertions which have become statements all happening while the club has made no official communication.

"No one has been fired, there are just ongoing discussions to improve things internally. Diego Dominguez and Jacques Delmas have not left yet."

Ex-New Zealand coach Graham Henry has also been linked with Toulon.
