Undergraduate dies in road crash, minutes after phone call with mum

A final year undergraduate has been killed in a road crash that occurred on Sunday around 6:30 pm along Dutse-Gwarinpa expressway, FCT.

gathered that the student and other pedestrians were trying to cross the expressway when a speeding vehicle knocked him down.

An eyewitness who spoke to Daily Trust said he died on the spot.

“The man was crossing the road when the driver of the car suddenly knocked him down, killing him on the spot,” he said.

It was reported that the deceased's mother wept uncontrollably, saying he had just gotten on the phone with her before the accident.

His corpse was deposited at the Kubwa General Hospital.
