6 police chiefs fired over incident

6 police chiefs have been sacked over the Bardo museum attack in Tunisia which left at least 22 people dead.

Citing the reason for the sack, Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid said he noted several security deficiencies during a visit to the museum.

The police chiefs of Tunis and the museum were among those dismissed, even as the Islamic State has since claimed responsibility for the attack.

Meanwhile, 2 of the gunmen were killed by the security forces, while a 3rd is on the run, President Beji Caid Essebsi however assured that he won't get far.

A spokes person for President Essebsi said a monument for the victims of the museum attack would be erected.
