Oti Akenten hails technical competence of local coaches

Francis Oti Akenten the technical director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) believes that the coaches in the Ghana Premier League have good technical knowhow.

Some people have the notion that coaches on the local scene don’t explain their tactics and strategies after getting positive results or in defeat, but rather thank the almighty God for the outcome of games.

However, the technical director of the Ghana FA who has a contrary opinion has stated that after touring the 8 premier league centres he can say that the local coaches exhibit good tactical abilities.

“When I go the various league centres, I see the local coaches show good technical abilities. They are able to map up the right strategy to get the desired results,” Oti Akenten told Hot FM.

Oti Akenken was a former Ashgold, Hearts of Oak, King Faisal coach and has had spells with the various national teams as head coach.
