Asante was one of the stars of the local game before his departure for Tunisian side Etoile Sportive du Sahel. That move did not work out leading to several loans in Tunisia,Romania before earning a move to Bahraini outfit al Riffa in September of 2015.

The 24 year old attacking midfielder became a stand out for Accra Hearts of oak in the 2011-12 season before earning his move abroad. He also graduated from the University of Ghana.
