Atsu scores an incredible goal from direct free kick against Cardiff

The Ghana winger continued to fly high in the English Championship as he scored from a direct free kick to help Newcastle earn a 2-0 victory at Cardiff.

Christian Atsu scored a freekick as Newcastle United defeated Cardiff City 2-0 on Friday night in the English Championship.

Christian Atsu broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, before Isaac Hayden sealed the victory with a 65th minute goal.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian has scored in a back to back Championship games- he scored on Monday against Preston North End and registered his name on the score sheet against Cardiff.

Newcastle prior to this fixture had already secured promotion back to the English Premier league, after they defeated Preston North End, but they are still trailing Brighton & Hoven Albion in the race for the title.
