Harrison Afful scorers a cracker for Columbus Crew

The Columbus Crew’s playoff hopes are on life support, but Harrison Afful is doing his best to keep the dream alive.

The fullback gave his side a first-half advantage on the Chicago Fire with a rocket from distance.

Afful received a corner played on the ground to the edge of the area and then ripped a blast that settled just underneath the crossbar, seeming to come up on Fire keeper Sean Johnson too quickly for him to make the save.

The Ghanaian defender played it cool after scoring — for a few seconds anyway — before abruptly launching into his celebration.

The Crew need three points to have any hope of keeping their slim playoff chances alive.
