Hajia Kande, the mother of Ghana international footballer Sulley Muntari, was inconsolable on Tuesday as she mourned the death of her husband.

Alhaji Muniru passed away on Monday, May 29 after a short illness. He was 62, and will be buried according to Islamic tradition.

The late patriach, who lived in Tafo in the Eastern Region, left behind his spouse Hajia Kande as well as sons Sulley Muntari 32, and Sulley Muniru, 24 - all footballers.
