The talented midfielder has been troubled by the injury which has limited his appearances for the Sogakope based side this season.

The surgery was performed at the AZ Monica hospital in Antwerp on Friday by Dr. Geert Declercq.
Ashimeru was one of the breakout stars of the Ghana league last season, becoming the youngest goal scorer in the league.
