Jake Ball is a doubt for Wales' Six Nations campaign due to a knee injury.

The 24-year-old reportedly suffered ligament damage in his left leg as the Scarlets lost 27-26 to the Ospreys in Saturday's Pro12 clash.

Ball completed the match but is expected to face up to 10 weeks on the sidelines, potentially ruling him out of the majority of the Six Nations.

"Absolutely gutted with [the] injury thanks to everyone who sent messages," the lock wrote on Twitter.

"[I will] be back bigger and stronger in the new year."

Ball earned his 15th cap for Wales during the 54-9 victory over Uruguay at Rugby World Cup 2015.

Wales begin their Six Nations campaign against 2015 winners Ireland at the Aviva Stadium on February 7.
