Australia will await news on the fitness of Shane Watson after an abdominal injury curtailed the all-rounder's participation in the PSL.

Shane Watson's participation in the World Twenty20 has been placed into doubt after the Australia all-rounder was forced to pull out of the ongoing Pakistan Super League due to an abdominal injury.

A tweet from the PSL's official account on Saturday confirmed the 34-year-old - part of the Islamabad United squad - will play no further part in the competition, which runs until February 23.
