Charlie Walker double secures Harlequins victory

Harlequins survived a late onslaught from Worcester Warriors to move back into the Premiership top three with a 24-20 win at Sixways.

Quins dominated for an hour of Sunday's clash before Worcester finally found their feet, but two late scores were not enough for the hosts.

Despite the heavy rain Quins started the game keen to run the ball, and it brought immediate results as Charlie Walker finished off a swift passing move to score the opening try in the second minute.

Soon after George Lowe's return from the sin bin, Luke Wallace added a second with a simple score in the 27th minute following a big drive from the Quins pack.

Fly-half Nick Evans kicked both conversions and a penalty to give the visitors a 17-3 advantage at the break.

Quins added a third score soon after the restart as Walker doubled his tally, the wing crossing the line after collecting a grubber kick from Danny Care.

Evans again added the extras, but slowly Worcester battled back into the match and after Marco Mama had scored their first try, they were awarded a second on the hour.

After numerous infringements on their own line, Quins were finally punished by referee with the awarding of a penalty try, much to the jubilation of the Worcester pack.

Ryan Mills kicked the conversion, but he was not as successful nine minutes later after Phil Dowson picked up a loose ball to touch down in the corner, leaving Worcester to fall short.
